Death Rattle, "In a pantywaist era of comic books..."

Component Type
Page Length

An extended piece of text by Harlan Ellison praising the virtues of the Death Rattle anthology. Death Rattle was a some-times-color/most-often-black-&-white underground comix anthology of horror and science fiction short stories. The piece by Ellison appears several times in the run of Death Rattle Vol. 2, on the back cover and on interior pages. It reads longer than a blurb yet more general than a letter of comment. When it first(?) appears in Death Rattle #7, under the heading "IMPORTANT MESSAG!" it is formatted more like an ad, with thumbnail cover reproductions of Death Rattle #4-6.
