This is this story's first appearance.

These three stories are three parts of a novel Ellison has said he would write about Vic and Blood. Despite comments in the afterword to this graphic novel, the novel has not yet been published.

"A Boy And His Dog" is also the basis of the 197? film "A Boy And His Dog" starring Don Johnson.
