One of a series of eight single issue comics published by DC Comics to celebrate the legacy of Julie Schwartz after his death in early 2004. Each comic featured a cover by contemporary artists based on a classic Schwartz edited title from the Silver Age. In homage to Schwartz's habit of commissioning covers and only after assigning writers and artists to create stories based on those covers, each issue features two short stories based on the cover of that issue. This issue was based on the classic science-fiction anthology Mystery In Space, which featured the hero Adam Strange, with a cover based on the cover to Mystery In Space #82 by Carmine Infantino & Murphy Anderson. Additionally each comic featured a remembrance of Schwartz by either Alan Moore or Harlan Ellison, with each piece appearing in four issues of the series. This issue, along with with DC Comics Presents: Green Lantern, DC Comics Presents: Batman, and DC Comics Presents: Hawkman, featured by piece by Ellison and Brian M. Thomsen.

Other Content

The two stories in this issue feature Adam Strange: "Crisis on 2 Worlds" by Elliot S! Maggin and J. H. Williams III; and "Two Worlds" by Grant Morrison, Jerry Ordway, and Mark McKenna.
